Don’t question CBFC working: Prasoon Joshi

Mumbai, January 10: Rebuffing all the media grapevines about the role of Central Board of Film Certification, renowned lyrists and CBFC Chief Prasoon Joshi said that people are unnecessarily fuelling untrue stories to tarnish the image of the apex board. His comments came after surfacing of media reports demanding in 300 cuts in Sanjay Lila Bhansali’s epic drama Padmavat.

Speaking to the leading news agency, Joshi maintained that due procedure has been followed in case of Padmavat. Joshi confirmed that a U/A certificate has been granted to the film. He further mentioned that makers have submitted the final copy with five modifications.

The CBFC Chief urged people not to question the functioning of apex film body. After the month-long brainstorming, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Shahid Kapoor starrer much awaited period drama will hit the screen on January 25.
