Washington, January 10: Though North Korea has taken a little step to come out of the alienated zone but still now global powers like US and Japan are not optimistic that the country could give up its missile nukes. So, to counter nuclear treat US State Department has approved the sale of anti-ballistic missiles to Japan.

The plan is to sell Japan more than $133 million worth of missiles as it wants to push back North Korea’s “provocative behavior”. The new proposal includes four Standard Missile-3 (SM-3) Block IIA missiles, missile canisters and “other technical, engineering and logistics support services.” In last year December, Japan decided to expand its ballistic missile defense system with U.S.-made ground-based Aegis radar stations and interceptors.

The deal “follows through “on President Trump’s commitment to providing additional defensive capabilities to treaty allies threatened by the DPRK’s provocative behavior,” an official from the department said.

Last year, North Korea was high on nuclear activity despite sanctions. It even launched some missiles which flew over Japan’s territory. With the last launch, Kim Jong Un warned the missile could it entire US mainland. During his New Year speech, Kim said he had has a nuclear button on his desk. Hence the US and its allies are also taking strict action against the hermit country.
