Be alert! Removal of free services by banks is a rumour

New Delhi, January 10: Social Media has nowadays become none other a medium for spreading rumours. People send pictures of non-sense news to their friends, relatives and make them believe on those rumours. The same scenario was with banking sector when it was spread that banks are going to close their free services.

The finance ministry has clarified on the issue stating that all these rumours are rubbish. In a press release, it is clearly stated that no free services are going to be closed and also it appeals not to believe any news related to this issue.

And also it states that neither RBI has issued any such orders nor any bank says about this kind of matter.

Recently Reserve Bank had clarified on the closure of Public sector banks stating that no public sectors will be closed. “Public Sector banks are a failure” this false rumour was spread by media amongst the common man. This misguided people and put them in a shocking situation. But these all rumours are fake, there are no plans to close Public Sector Banks (PSBs) says the Central Government.

 

Additionally, the ministry also had clarified on withdrawal of chequebook system from the banking system. “Cheques are an integral part of the digital India dream,” says the Finance Ministry.
