Ranchi, January 11: Public participation in governmental affairs makes the government more citizens oriented. Keeping this in mind Jharkhand has decided to include the suggestions given by the people in its budget.

Chief Minister Raghubar Das met the meeting of the Jharkhand Ministry to prepare for the budget for the year 2018-19. He said that the speed in implementing the budget and the full benefits of the schemes are possible only if the public participation is much greater. If the budget is being made according to the suggestions of the people, then apply it to the public support. This will accelerate the development of the state and our goal of fulfilling the aspirations will be achieved.

Chief Minister Das said that we have a tradition of collectivity here. By taking advantage of this, we can grow the village rapidly. Making small bridges in villages, making streets which connects the village so that the village can easily bring their produce to the market by selling it easily. He said that keeping in mind the purpose of doubling the income of the villagers, we have chosen the schemes. Special focus is on the six backward districts of the state. All departments play special schemes in those districts. In this budget, emphasis will be laid on the development of scheduled caste, tribal and weaker sections, women empowerment, backward districts, and blocks, creating greater opportunities for employment and self-employment. It will also focus on education, health, nutrition, infrastructure, and electricity to every household.

In the meeting, Development Commissioner Amit Khare said that in all the divisions, a total of 970 suggestions received online and offline have been sent to the respective departments of the State-level 20-point symposium. 38 of these have been selected for inclusion in the budget. For the purpose of mobilization of schemes, small schemes have been included in the umbrella scheme.
