Security forces recovered huge cache of arms, explosives from Rajouri district of Kashmir

Srinagar, January 12: Security forces on Friday recovered a huge cache of arms and explosives from Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district. Notably, Indian security forces including the army, CRPF and police have intensified their efforts to wipe out the terrorism from the valley.

 

Jammu and Kashmir police along with Indian Army recovered two weapons and over 400 rounds of ammunition hidden by terrorists from Jatta Malian forest in Kalakote belt of the Rajouri district. After receiving a specific input, Jammu and Kashmir police along with the team of Indian Army carried the joint operation and recovered a huge cache of arms and explosives.

The haul included one AK-47 rifle, one magazine, 400 rounds of AK rifle, one pistol, magazine, one hand grenade and two IED circuits. A senior police officer said that a case was registered in this connection.

On December 28 last year, Jammu and Kashmir police along with Indian Army on recovered a huge cache of arms and explosives from an underground arms dump in Reasi district. Anti-Terrorism operation is continued with such a speed that more than 205 terrorists are eliminated by Indian troops in a time last year.
