New Delhi, January 12: Ahead of his Davos visit, an international survey has ranked PM Modi among the top three leaders of the world. This ranking clearly shows the respect for PM Modi on the global level.

The ranking puts India's PM ahead of the likes of China's Xi Jinping, the UK's Theresa May, Russia's Vladimir Putin, Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump. The only two heads of state to have ranked higher than PM Modi are German Chancellor Angela Merkel and France's new President Emmanuel Macron.

The survey has been released ahead of Prime Minister Modi's visit to Davos, Switzerland, to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting between January 22 and 23.

The survey methodology detailed by Gallup International states that 53,769 persons were interviewed across dozens of countries. The respondents answer as to whether they have a favorable opinion of a particular leader or an unfavorable opinion. In the survey, PM Modi attained a 30% 'favorable' rating versus a 22% 'unfavorable'. The net score (Favourable vs Unfavourable) is, therefore, +8.

On this achievement, BJP President Amit Shah congratulated him by tweeting “Congratulations to PM Shri @narendramodi on featuring very prominently on the Gallup International’s prestigious annual survey 'Opinion of Global Leaders.’ This yet again illustrates the faith placed on PM Modi by every Indian and his standing globally.”
