New Delhi, January 12: With the objective of providing electricity to each household in rural areas, the official authorities have started initiatives.To encourage this electrification initiative a short film competition has been organized.
The entire country will have electricity under the Government SAUBHAGYA initiative by March 2019. The Rural Electrification Corporation under Navratna Company works under the purview of Minister of Power has organized a ‘Short Film’ contest to create awareness about the SAUBHAGYA scheme. This competition would involve the common man as the brand ambassador of the contest. The submission of the entries begins from 10th January and the last date will be 31st January.
The duration of the video should be a maximum of 3 minutes and should be uploaded directly on their website. The videos can also be shared using Google Drive/ Microsoft One drive or Drop box and the link can be shared on entry form. These entries of the contest may also be used by REC on various platforms and advertisement campaigns for SAUBHAGYA Scheme. The categories included in making these short films are:
o Role of Electrification in Nation Building
o Real life stories of impact of Electrification on Women Empowerment, Entrepreneurship, Healthcare Improvement, Education Improvement, Agriculture.
The winner of this competition will be awarded with cash prizes1st prize - Rs.50,000 /- (In each category)
2nd prize - Rs.40,000 /- (In each category)
3rd prize - Rs.30,000 /- (In each category)
20 consolation prizes of Rs.10,000 /- each
