New Delhi, January 13: Ruling out the possibility of Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra's impeachment the Supreme Court Bar Association president Vikas Singh on Saturday said there was "no question" of it. “There is no question of impeachment in this case. This has to be addressed within the system rather than going to press like this. You go for a press conference to reveal, but the intention of this press conference was to conceal,” he told Media.

Vikas Singh commented that If they had to come for a PC then they should have said something substantial. Just creating doubts in the minds of people will not serve the interest of the judiciary. This was not properly planned. They didn't say anything about justice Loya.

“This has led to the imagination of the country running wild. The institution derives its respect for the credibility it has garnered over these years. If the credibility goes, who will respect the institution? The press conference has only led to speculation,” he added.

Respecting the call of the four sitting apex courts judges, the Common Indians took the matter with the spirit expressed by the judges in the press conference. But the ice of the feeling of genuineness created in the presser started melting when media reports talked about CPI leader D Raja visited Justice Chelameswar’ home.

Including the Chief Justice of India, who is considered as the first among the other equal judges is also the administrative head. There are currently 25 sitting judges, with a maximum possible strength of 31. The presser of four senior-most sitting judges of the Apex Court is actually the outcry of only four out of 25. It cannot be called a judicial crisis. The ‘Unprecedented’ #JudgesAtWar proved a mere political stage show Especially when the Communist leader and MP Daniel Raja visited the leader of four Judges crying for Democracy with a motto – We are not playing politics...!

Yesterday, Whole nation keenly watched the press conference held by four senior-most judges of Supreme Court Justice J Chelameswar, Ranjan Gogoi, Madan B Lokur and Kurien Joseph held a Press Conference on Friday morning. This was unprecedented. The media was smart and fast enough to pull the message of this heroic and ‘rebellion’ act of the #JudgesVsCJI in which the judges said: “unless this institution is preserved, democracy will not survive in this country”.

Their ‘leader’ Justice Chelameswar said that “The situation in Supreme Court is not in order and many things have happened in recent past”. We tried to persuade Chief Justice of India that certain things are not in order. Unfortunately, we have failed, said Justice Chelameswar. He added that all four are convinced that democracy is at stake and many things have happened in recent past. When asked, what these issues were, he said they included the “allocation of cases by CJI”. Chelameswar also commented that we owe a responsibility to the institution and the nation. Our efforts have failed in convincing CJI to take steps to protect the institution.”
