Mumbai, January 13: The wait is over! Today the ‘Mumbai Shopping Festival’, was unveiled Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at Bandra Kurla Complex BKC. Praising this initiative CM Fadnavis said that this will boost tourism and economic activities. 

‘Mumbai Shopping Festival’ that started on 12th January will go on until 31st January. Organised by the Maharashtra Tourism Department Corporation, the 20-day festival is an attempt to establish Mumbai as one of the world’s best shopping destinations.

 

From discounts at the Taj Mahal Hotels across Mumbai to deals at street-shopping hubs like Colaba Causeway right outside, Mumbai Shopping Festival will cut across the spectrum. Other malls participating in MSF2018 include Infiniti Mall at Malad, High Street Phoenix at Lower Parel, Phoenix Market City at Kurla, Oberoi Mall at Goregaon, Grand Central at Seawood Navi Mumbai and Viviana Mall at Thane.

The festival has also lined up 500 performances at 13 locations including Girgaon Chowpatty, Crawford Market, Worli Sea Face, Shivaji Park, Carter Road and Juhu Beach. Keeping shoppers fuelled will be food trucks that have been commissioned for the festival.

The Mumbai Shopping Festival comes only weeks after the Maharashtra Shops and Establishment Act was amended to allow the state’s establishments to remain open 24×7. And so, you will be able to shop till 4am at special flea-markets at Jio Gardens, BKC; Mindspace, Malad and Hiranandani, Powai.
