New Delhi, January 15: Air Asia India has issued a warning to job seekers to be alert as it found certain recruitment agencies attempting to mislead people by posting job openings in Air Asia.

A crew official received a mail which said that the company has selected his resume and called him for a direct online interview. It also sought a refundable fee of Rs 9,600 in charges to process interview and other requirements.

An AirAsia spokesperson confirmed that the airline does not ask candidates for any money during recruitment and said it was aware of these fake advertisements doing the rounds and it was exploring legal options.

"It has been bought to our notice that they send fake communication/e-mails to the potential job seekers luring them with job offers using the details of the company," an AirAsia India spokesperson said in a statement.

"AirAsia (India) Limited would like to caution the general public that in the recent past some unscrupulous individuals and recruitment agencies have tried to mislead the public by fictitiously claiming to be employees of the company or posing as authorised recruitment agencies of the company," the spokesperson added.
