Rajinikanth, Narendra Modi combination will transform Tamil Nadu Politics: S Gurumurthy

Chennai, January 15: Veteran Economist S Gurumurthy who openly backed the political foray of Superstar Rajinikanth has predicted that combination of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and actor Rajinikanth would transform the political discourse of Tamil Nadu.

Addressing the 48th annual readers' meet of leading Tamil magazine Thuglak, Gurumurthy opined that Rajinikanth with the assistance of BJP could bring the much-needed change in the rotten politics of Tamil Nadu. Commenting on the political statements of actor Kamal Haasan, the senior Ideologue described Haasan as a Dravidian sympathizer who will not question the corrupt practices of Dravidian parties.

Gurumurthy, who recently took over the responsibility of leading Tamil media outlet Thuglak, shares very warm relations with Tamil Superstar. He also backed Narendra Modi during 2014 general election. On this occasion, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley was also present where he released the book based on the collection on late Thuglak editor Cho Ramaswamy.
