Neha Goyal selected as ‘Yoga Ambassador’ to represent India’s heritage beyond borders

Bengaluru, January 15: India has been practising Yoga since ancient times as Yoga is a way to learn and understand spiritual India. Shouldering the responsibility to carry forward the Indian cultural practice of Yoga, Neha Goyal who hails from Bengaluru has been selected by the Ministry of Ayush as the Yoga Ambassador for South Korea.

 

Yoga defines the culture and heritage of India which also describes the way to lead a healthy life. Bengaluru-based Neha Goyal is among the first few to be selected from across the country to promote yoga in other countries across the world.

"Yoga has helped me organize my talent and energy. It also helped me channelize my energy in the more focused manner which actually brought me to such a responsible position of Yoga Ambassador. I want to thank my Guru, Sri Sri Ravi Shankarji, for introducing me to Yoga and the Ayush Ministry for selecting me as yoga ambassador," said Neha Goyal.

As an Ambassador, Neha holds the responsibility of establishing an Indian Common Yoga Protocol and spreading awareness in universities, colleges and other communities to help people find harmony and peace through yoga.

Neha will also be inspiring deeper study into ancient texts like Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads and understanding of the ancient language of Sanskrit which has its origin in India.

Since five years Neha has been ppractisingYoga, has received Yoga Instructor Certificate from S. Vyasa University and is currently pursuing PhD in Yoga.
