Washington, January 15: Over US President Donald Trump’s alleged offensive comment on people from Africa, Haiti, El Salvador, African countries and many others ross world are outraged. The incident has raised the question about existing racism in the US. But confronting the conflict, US President emphasized that he is not a racist and denied commenting in such offensive way.

When he arrived for dinner at his private golf club with the House majority leader Kevin McCarthy of California, he was questioned about the issue. Responding to local reporters, he said, “No, No. I am not a racist.” “I am the least racist person you have ever interviewed. That I can tell you,” he added.

Over migration issue, in a meeting with senators, he had described African nations, as well as Haiti and El Salvador as “shitholes”. After the report broke out, global communities, politicians and African countries condemned the comment. Now, a group of 54 "extremely appalled" African countries demanded he retracts and apologizes for his reported comments.

While two of the senators from the beginning emphasized on the accuracy of the report, Republican Sens. David Perdue of Georgia and Tom Cotton of Arkansas backtracked the comment on Sunday. "I am telling you that he did not use that word. And I'm telling you it's a gross misrepresentation," Perdue said. US President also insisted earlier in a tweet that he did not make such comment.

UN ambassadors from African nations called an emergency meeting to discuss the remark. After the emergency session, said they are concerned about the ongoing trend of US administration targeting certain countries. Various leaders from the African countries also condemned the comment. Even on social media African People expressed their discontent over the comment.
