Bengal Global Business Summit kicks off amid cluster of Industry leaders

Kolkata, January 16: Amid a cluster of industry tycoons, Bengal Global Business Summit has kicked off in the state. The two day’s mega event started at Bengal Capital Kolkata o Monday, the fourth edition of the showpiece. Festival lover Kolkata has given a festive tone to this Business event.

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee inaugurated the event on Tuesday at Biswa Bangla Convention Centre, country’s largest Business Convention Centre. More than 4000 participants are taking part in the extravaganza including 9 partner countries, 32 countries with big delegations. Prominent faces in Indian industry including Mukesh Ambani, L N Mittal, Sajjan Jindal were present in the inaugural event.

All the industrialists present in the event highly praised Mamata Banerjee ruled government. Mukesh Ambani said he witnessed new avatar of Kolkata and the state has bid goodbye to slow reformation.He said his company is committed to investing over Rs 5,000 crore in non-Jio businesses over the next three years.

"We have investment in almost every state but I have never seen this kind of passion and support in any other CM," Chairman and Managing Director of JSW Steel, Sajjan Jindal, said. JSW Cement has started commercial production from its new 2.4 million tonne cement unit at Salboni which was inaugurated by the chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday.
