Cycle riding is now more fun! Have a look at this Bamboo Bicycle

Beijing, January 17: Bicycles are considered to be the most easily accessible and most convenient vehicle used by people. To widen the reach and make these bicycles more convenient, China has started manufacturing bicycles from Bamboo. It is a known thing that people in China mostly rely on bike sharing program. To enhance the use and broaden this concept, Beijing has started a facility of bamboo bike riding.

 

There is a small independent workshop called Beijing Bamboo Bike which promotes sustainable engineering by helping people build bicycles made of bamboo. It is not the first to launch Bamboo Bikes. The invention was first done by England but their concept revolved around bikes unlike cycles. Therefore the idea did not garner much attention.

However there are certain things that need to be taken into consideration. While the Bamboo bike has certain limitations in areas as to how much weight it will hold. The bike usually reacts differently to different weather conditions and therefore needs more maintenance. The bike can run as long as 600km. Researchers have also said that bamboo has been proven to be stronger than woods, bricks and concrete. Thus it has the capacity of bearing twice its force hold on it.
