Gujarat’s red carpet welcome hugs Israel: PM Netanyahu along with his wife pay tributes to Gandhi at Sabarmati Ashram

Ahmedabad, January 17: Friends on trip; after Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived in Gujarat today, in the home state of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Welcomed with a grand roadshow PM Netanyahu along with his wife headed further to visit Sabarmati Ashram. Both PMs also flew kites together like Gujarati friends.

 
Further both PMs set to attend an exhibition of start-ups in Ahmedabad. PM Modi and PM Netanyahu will pay their tributes to Mahatma Gandhi and, later, dedicate to the nation, iCreate, the innovation and incubation centre in Bavala. Also PM Modi and PM Netanyahu are set to give away awards to the winners of Israel-India Innovation Bridge Competition.
 
 

Later both the PMs will fly from Bavala to Vadraj village near Prantij for a visit to the Indo-Israel Center for Excellence on Vegetables. Israeli technology is being used for agricultural excellence. They will also digitally inaugurate the Centre for Excellence for Dates in Kutch.

 
Israel PM Netanyahu is on a six-day state visit to India, arrived in New Delhi. The two countries inked nine pacts in key areas including in the sector of oil and gas sector and cyber-security. On Tuesday, Netanyahu, along with his wife Sara, visited the Taj Mahal in Agra. Later in the evening, the Israel leader addressed the 3rd Raisina Dialogue wherein he underlined India and Israel’s strong commitment towards counter-terrorism efforts.
