CM Raman addresses Investors' Conference in Melbourne

Raipur, January 18: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh said that there are abundant mineral resources in Chhattisgarh which can be exploited by Australian investors. He was addressing Investors' Conference ' in Melbourne.

Electricity is easily available and there is a positive environment for investment. As the State is located in the centre of India it can be developed as 'Logistics' hub'.

Dr. Raman Singh said Raipur is developing into a Smart City with international standard airport, rail connectivity, industrial infrastructure and in energy sector.

He said that PM Modi and Australia PM Turnbull had taken the relations between two countries to the next level. The trade and cultural ties had strengthened between the two great nations. Singh added that he is the 'Goodwill Ambassador' of PM Modi.

Both Chhattisgarh and Australia have abundant minerals' resources. Dr. Raman Singh said that Australia has high-grade mining Technology which can be shared with India. Australia had blended development, heritage and environment which can be emulated in Chhattisgarh also.

Raman Singh added that during the visit of Turnbull to India several agreements regarding energy, education, research, science, sports and cultural spheres. His visit is to give a boost to 'Make in India' project.

He invites investments from Australia to Chhattisgarh. India's strength lies in its 'Unity in Diversity'. All the 29 states have their own natural advantages. The core sectors are iron, coal, steel, aluminium, cement and power. It can be developed as 'Logistics Hub'.

Dr. Raman Singh said that India had been climbing the ladder of 'Ease of Doing Business' and is now ranked 100 in the entire globe. India will join the League of Developed Nations sooner than later. Chhattisgarh stands at fourth spot in the 'Ease of Doing Business'. About $ 40 million had been invested in the building up of infrastructure in the State. He appealed to the investors to tour the State and see for themselves the rapid transformation going on.
