Washington, January 18: Though US President Donald Trump has tried to maintain a good relation with Russia but now in a different note he has now accused Russia for helping North Korea to evade international sanction. He expressed his dissatisfaction with Russia for not helping US to deal with Pyongyang.

The news agency Reuters reported that, with an interview with the agency, Trump said “Russia is not helping us at all with North Korea.” “What China is helping us with, Russia is denting. In other words, Russia is making up for some of what China is doing,” he added. Trump said Russia appears to be filling in the gaps left by the Chinese.

He also did not expressed optimistic view on talk with Kim Jong-un as history does not show positive outcomes of dialogues with North Korea. The past negotiations with the North Koreans by his predecessors had failed to put an end to North’s nuclear programs. “I’d sit down, but I‘m not sure that sitting down will solve the problem,” he said.

He blamed US investigation into Russian meddling of 2016 Presidential Election as an obstacle to improved US-Russia relation. “But unfortunately we don’t have much of a relationship with Russia, and in some cases it’s probable that what China takes back, Russia gives. So the net result is not as good as it could be,” he said of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
