Srinagar, January 19: Shameless Pakistani forces continue to resort unprovoked firing in the Indian side that left three people killed while eleven others were injured. Notably, one BSF Jawan was martyred while two civilians were killed and 11 others were injured during the ceasefire violation by Pakistani rangers along the international border in Jammu and Kashmir’s RS Pura and Samba sector on Friday morning.

Besides RS Pura, the Pakistani troops have also violated the ceasefire in Samba, Arnia and Chadwal sectors of Jammu. A Border Security Force (BSF) Head Constable Jagpal Singh was martyred during the unprovoked firing while eleven civilians were injured.

Of 11, five civilians were injured in firing in Kathura’s Hiranagar sector. The two deceased were identified as Bachno Devi of Sai Khurd and Sunil Kumar of Korotana in RS Pura sector. Over 1,000 people staying along the border have been evacuated and schools in RS Pura and Arnia sectors have been closed.

Soon after the casualties were reported, all the injured in ceasefire violations were admitted in the hospital where DONEAR Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh and Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh visited the hospital and expressed their solidarity.

DONEAR Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh said, “All injured are being taken care of. For the 1st time, even though Pakistan is up to its mischief as it has always been, the kind of retaliatory action from Indian side was not seen for decades together.”

JK deputy CM Nirmal Singh said, “Pakistan is basically a terrorist state and only believes in violence is not learning the lesson from its misdeeds. It is very clear that India is not going to be fooled by all these cowardice of Pakistan.”

Meanwhile, four personnel of Jammu and Kashmir police were injured after terrorists hurled a hand grenade near a police station in Pulwama in afternoon. Security forces immediately launched a search operation in the area to nab the terrorists.

Importantly, the ceasefire violation by Pakistan comes a few days after four Pakistani soldiers were killed by the Indian Army in the cross-border firing initiated by the former in Poonch sector. Earlier in the week, the Indian security forces eliminated seven Pakistani soldiers and injured four in retaliatory strikes in the forward areas along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district.
