Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan lauds KCR for 24-hour free power supply initiative

Hyderabad, January 2: Hailing the 24-hour free power supply announcement by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan expressed that other state should examine the policies adopted by KCR. On Monday, the power star called on K Chandrashekar Rao and greeted him marking the occasion of new year. This was the first official meeting between two leaders after the bitter verbal spat during 2014 election on the backdrop of Telangana agitation.

Speaking to the media after a brief interaction, Pawan termed it as just a courtesy call. Recently two leaders were spotted at the official function hosted by Governor Narasimhan during President of India’s official state visit. The Jana Sena chief also expressed happiness over the announcement of 24-hour free power supply initiative for the agriculture sector. He congratulated state government for the successful rollout of 24-hour power management.

On this occasion, the actor-turned-politician clarified on his absence during the grand ceremony of world Telugu festival despite the official invitation. The dynamic leader mentioned that he has immense respect for the Telangana Chief Minister who is working relentlessly for the welfare of the society.

Pawan Kalyan, 46, is gearing up for his 25th movie Agnyaathavaasi, a Trivikram Srinivas directorial. Earlier, he made a formal announcement about his political activities. Pawan Kalyan is the younger brother of veteran actor and Congress leader Chiranjeevi. During 2014 general elections, Pawan backed TDP-BJP alliance. Having a huge fan base across two Telugu states, the power star has surely emerged as the force to reckon with.
