The veteran lyricist thanked all the resource persons in the special panel including professors, Historian, and members of royal family. He further claimed that constitution of the special panel was limited to an advisory role. The CBFC Chairperson expressed displeasure over the unnecessary controversy by questioning the certification process. As reported by Mumbai Mirror, Joshi maintained that CBFC committee has taken a pragmatic and balanced stand on the period drama crafted by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
According to media reports, the top film body has suggested some changes in the screenplay and makers of Padmavati were also in agreement with the same. The CBFC might issue U/A certificate after the submission of final copy with proposed amendments.
