Get Set Go! Mumbai wakes up with enthusiasm of Marathon Race 2018

Mumbai, January 21: This Sunday morning is not the usual lazy morning. The Mumbai streets has witnessed the enthusiastic and energetic youth and runners running in the Mumbai Marathon Race 2018. Tata Mumbai Marathon 2018 began at 5:40 am from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus this morning.

 

The Mumbai Police have dispensed a traffic advisory ahead of the marathon that will be held in six categories. All roads on the route of the marathon will remain closed for vehicular traffic between 6 am and 1 pm on Sunday except for emergency services. Also seen in this marathon were enthusiasts of Western Railway officers promoting their motto with ‘Bringing people and places together.’ Along with them the sponsors of this Marathon Radio Mirchi team was also seen cheering up the masses. Almost 44,000 people participated in this noble cause which promotes, fun, fitness. 

 

The Tata Marathon is being endorsed as the largest marathon in Asia and also as the largest mass participation sports event in the continent. It is the richest race in India with prize money. All prize money winners of the half marathon will receive merit certificates certifying their prize money winning positions.
