Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh gets Dr. Kalam Innovation in Governance Award

New Delhi, January 22: Recognising the contribution of Andhra Pradesh in the field of  Panchayat Raj & Rural Development, Young cabinet Minister Nara Lokesh was conferred with the Dr. Kalam Innovation in Governance Award 2018. The award was given away by Rajya Sabha Secretary-General Desh Deepak Verma during the second edition of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Summit on innovation in governance. Expressing happiness over the development, Lokesh took to twitter thanked Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Centre for the prestigious award.

Addressing the gathering, the 34-year-old dynamic leader who happens to be the grandson of legendary actor and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister NT Rama Rao, and son of Chandra Babu Naidu thanked Kalam Centre for valuing the initiates adopted by TDP government. On this occasion, the Panchayat Raj & Rural Development Minister hailed the Vision of TDP chief for redefining the governance in Andhra Pradesh.

Recalling the hard times after the bifurcation, Lokesh stated that despite all odds, Chandrababu Naidu’s clear vision and firm conviction cleared all the hurdles in the path. He further expressed that state government is working day and night for the betterment of newly carved Andhra Pradesh. The Minister also narrated various innovative majors taken by TDP government to improve the existing style of governance with the efficient delivery mechanism.

During his initial days after entering into politics, the young TDP leader was entrusted with the responsibility of TDP's youth wing. Later he was inducted into the cabinet of Chandrababu Naidu. Alumina of Stanford University Graduate School of Business, the Information Technology Minister is the member of Andhra Pradesh legislative council.
