New Delhi, January 29: Commitment to giving bright life for Naga people will not affect the territorial integrity of Assam and other Northeastern states. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh assured to the Chief Minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal that Assam’s territorial integrity won’t be compromised once Naga pact gets inked.

Meanwhile, Rajnath Singh assured that territorial integrity of Northeastern states won’t get affected due to the Naga pact.

CM Sonowal informed Rajnath Singh about the situation in the state's Dima Hasao district where protests against the demand for a "Greater Nagalim" claimed two lives.

Talking to media, CM said that Rajnath Singh has assured that not a single inch of Assam's land will be parted with any state.

The situation in Dima Hasao district returned to normal after the bandh, curfew and unrest of the last 72 hours. The situation in Dima Hasao district was tensed following protests over a leader reported remark that the district would be included in "Greater Nagalim" or Greater Nagaland as part of the Centre's proposed solution for the ongoing peace talks with the National Socialist Council of Nagaland - Isak-Muivah (NSCN-IM).
