CRPF Jawan martyred and five Maoists killed in an encounter in Bihar

Patna, January 3: A CRPF jawan, Ashish Patra (29), was martyred in exchange of fire with Maoists at Chakarbandha hills on the border of Gaya and Aurangabad districts on Tuesday. The encounter took place in a village under Madanpur police station area. Three Maoists were killed during the encounter with security forces.

 

In the encounter, Ashish Patra injured wounded, was taken to Ranchi for treatment with chopper helicopter, where he died. It is being told that during the firing, a bullet was shot in the head of Ashish. Due to the continuous firing from both sides, the injured jawan could not be sent to the hospital for treatment for a long time.

After the incident, the search operation being run in the jungles of Langurahi and Pachrukhias on the border of Aurangabad-Gaya has been intensified. Gaya and the search operation in the wild area of Aurangabad continue.

 

The operation started in the area in the daytime. Cobra 205 and CRPF jawans went to Chhurabandh jungle on information about Naxalites gathering. Meanwhile, the encounter with the Maoists was held at 5 pm in the evening. Till the evening, the firing was carried out on both sides. At night, the mortar was also fired to kill the Maoists.
