Chhattisgarh ready to kick start state-wide 'Lok Suraj' campaign

Raipur, January 7: Preparations for 'Lok Suraj' campaign of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh are in full swing in the entire State. Singh wrote to all the District Collectors and gave them necessary instructions. It may be mentioned here that this is the fourth year of 'Lok Suraj' mission.

The letter mentions “This time also the campaign will be in three-phase. It gives an opportunity to the State Government to go to the door-steps of the beneficiaries in the hinterland and observe that whether policies are being implemented or not. There were some changes incorporated in the Lok Suraj campaign last year and the results were very encouraging.” 

Chief Minister in his letter mentions that first phase will be launched from January 12-14 in which applications will be invited from the common masses. The second phase will be from 15 January- March 11 in which the grievances will be redressed. The third phase will be from 12 March-31 March in which 'Samadhan Sibhir' will be held for every ten panchayats.

In the third phase he will pay surprise visits to State Government hospitals, schools, hostels, anganwadi centers, ration shops and bus stands. He will take feedback from the villagers and common masses. The State Cabinet Ministers also will tour villages and observe the implementation of various development projects.

He instructed the District Collectors to see that local MPs, MLAs and other people's representatives are associated with the Lok Suraj mission. Raman Singh, all Cabinet colleagues, district in-charge secretaries and state Government officials will participate in the camps.

In the second phase of Lok Suraj Mission the letters of complaints will be sent to respective districts, janpad panchayats and urban bodies' officials via Online. Officers-employees will posted to receive people's complaints at the districts, developmental, gram panchayats and urban bodies' level.

In the last phase 'Samadhan Shibir' will be conducted from 12 March to 31 March in which details of the redressal of grievances will be given. The development works will be undertaken as per the budget allocations.

Dr. Raman Singh mentioned that awareness also will be created regarding the various social welfare projects of the State Government.
