Gurgaon, January 8: Last year, a 7-year-old student from Gurgaon’s Ryan International School was brutally killed. Later a class 11 student from the same school was arrested for the incident who has been denied bail by a Gurgaon court. The lawyer of the victim’s family said the court will conduct “in-camera proceedings” in the case from now on.

The court had earlier reserved the order after hearing arguments of the counsel for the accused, the CBI and the complainant. Additional Sessions Judge Jasbir Singh Kundu declined relief to the accused.

In last year December, the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) in Gurgaon directed to consider the teenager as a trial during the trial. The board also rejected a bail claim for the accused which was opposed by counsel for the juvenile. The latter filed a petition against the decision.

The child student was found murdered in the school’s toilet with his throat slit. Earlier bus conductor Ashoke Kumar was found guilty by Gurugram Police. It was told he murdered the child for resisting his molestation attempts. But later CBI gave him clean chit by saying he had no connection with the murder. CBI investigation turned the direction of the case.
