Senior Telangana officials to study different agriculture models

Hyderabad, January 8: In order to boost the agriculture sector of Telangana, Irrigation and Marketing Minister T Harish Rao has asked officials to study the different success stories implemented by the other states. Charing a review meeting with senior officials, Rao urged respective departments to review the policies related to departments like procurement of agriculture produce, agricultural production, and payment of Minimum Support Prices and another allied sector of the Agro-based industry.
A delegation comprising of senior administrators will submit their observations by January 13. He further directed officials to emulate best practices for the welfare of the state. The Minister has decided to send a team of officials to Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Gujarat to study their agriculture policies and their implementation.
