Mumbai, January 9: Mumbaikars, there is a treat for you as ‘Mumbai Shopping Festival’ waits for you, so don’t miss it, be ready to fill your bags with little happiness. The city is set to host the 1st ever ‘Mumbai Shopping Festival’ from 12 January to 31 January 2018. Organised by the Maharashtra Tourism Department Corporation, the 20-day festival is an attempt to establish Mumbai as one of the world’s best shopping destinations.
From discounts at the Taj Mahal Hotels across Mumbai to deals at street-shopping hubs like Colaba Causeway right outside, Mumbai Shopping Festival will cut across the spectrum. Other malls participating in MSF2018 include Infiniti Mall at Malad, High Street Phoenix at Lower Parel, Phoenix Market City at Kurla, Oberoi Mall at Goregaon, Grand Central at Seawood Navi Mumbai and Viviana Mall at Thane.
The festival has also lined up 500 performances across 13 locations including Girgaon Chowpatty, Crawford Market, Worli Sea Face, Shivaji Park, Carter Road and Juhu Beach. Keeping shoppers fuelled will be food trucks that have been commissioned for the festival.
The Mumbai Shopping Festival comes only weeks after the Maharashtra Shops and Establishment Act was amended to allow the state’s establishments to remain open 24×7. And so, you will be able to shop till 4am at special flea-markets at Jio Gardens, BKC; Mindspace, Malad and Hiranandani, Powai.
