Vijayawada, Oct 1: Accusing Chandra Babu Naidu of benefiting private real estate players in the name of Capital development, Andhra Pradesh BJP Chief Kanna Lakshminarayana on Sunday lambasted at TDP government for the alleged misuse of Central funds. Addressing the party functionaries here, the former Minister claimed that donations given by people for Amaravati are not in safe hands.

Reacting to TDP Chief’s recent remarks on non-cooperation with the coastal state, the BJP leader asked Naidu to provide the evidence for the same. Talking about the alleged corruption, Kanna stated that financial aid meant for welfare schemes is being used for the internal affairs of the yellow army.

On 29 Sept, addressing TDP’s Dharma Poratam in West Godavari district, the Chief Minister came down heavily on BJP led Central government for the injustice against the Andhra Pradesh. Babu blamed BJP’s apex leadership for not proving enough assistance for the development of new state capital.

On the other hand, Former Chief Secretary of AP IYR K Rao took exceptions to Naidu’s accusations on Central funds. The retired officer took to Twitter and mentioned that Naidu’s no funds theory was suspicious.

Referring to AP chief secretary’s remarks, the officer twitted, “AP chief secretary in his farewell address informed that the state got record funds from the center in the last year. This would not have been possible if there was discrimination against the state or non- cooperation from the center.”
