Smartphone giant OPPO to start research and development wing in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Oct 1: In order to expand the business operations in India, Chinese Smartphone giant OPPO has decided to set up its first India research and development (R&D) center in tech-city Hyderabad.

Tasleem Arif, former Head of Samsung Make for India Innovations (R&D) and India Hardware-Software Product Planning will be helming the responsibility of Hyderabad R&D Centre.

The Hyderabad establishment will mainly focus on local market dynamics in a bid to bring unique experiences for Indian consumers. After the successful rollout of China, Japan and centers in the US, OPPO’ Hyderabad center will be the seventh outing of the Chinese firm.
