New Delhi, Oct 10: Days after Journalist Priya Ramani’s allegations on Union Minister M J Akbar, Congress party today asked M J Akbar to come clean on the charges leveled by the scribe.

Speaking to the media, senior Congress leader Jaipal Reddy demanded a satisfactory answer from the Union Minister. “M J Akbar must face the probe, or step down from the post”, he stated.

Priya Ramani accused former editor and serving Minister of State for External Affairs M J Akbar of misconduct during her initial days of journalism.

when asked Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) official stand, EAM Sushma Swaraj chose to keep mum on Akbar’s involvement. On the other hand, Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Gandhi assured that each and every #MeToo account will be addressed by the respective agencies.
