Anti-social elements will be brought to book: Gujarat CM Rupani

Lucknow, Oct 15: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today announced that the state government will not spare anti-social elements responsible for inciting violence against the Citizens hailing from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The Chief Minister assured that every possible measure will be taken to ensure the safety of every citizen residing in the coastal state.

Addressing a joint press conference here, the Chief Minister claimed that alleged involvement of Congress Lawmaker Alpesh Thakor, Rupani said that charges of hate speech will be probed thoroughly. He went on saying that none other than Congress has engineered the malicious drive to defame Gujarat.

The Gujarat Chief Minister also participated in the event ‘Ekata Samvad’ organized on the backdrop of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's 'Statue of Unity' on October 31. Earlier, the Gujarat Chief Minister Rupani met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and invited for the mega event of 'Statue of Unity' on October 31.

On October 8, Non-Gujarati citizens, especially from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar were allegedly attacked for raping a 14-year girl in tribal-dominated Sabarkantha district.
