Content-driven Marathi cinema portrays the beauty of Indian classical music: A R Rahman
Mumbai, Oct 15: legendary composer A R Rahman feels that Marathi cinema has a strength to present the nuances of Indian classical music which is quite rare in the mainstream cinema.
Speaking at the audio function of Marathi film ‘Maaza Agadbam’ here, the award-winning composer said that he loves Marathi films for its content-driven story telling.
The acclaimed Composer believes that Marathi cinema with the element of classical music has been able to present its culture to the international audience. He opined that music, mainly classical music, adds value to the film.
T. Satish Chakravarthy, a former assistant of Rahman has composed the tunes. Subodh Bhave, Trupti Bhoir starrer ‘Maaza Agadbam’ will hit the Screens on October 26.
