New Delhi, Oct 15: Condemning Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu’s remarks on Tamil Nadu culture, senior BJP leader GVL Narasimha Rao said that Sidhu along with his boss should tender an unconditional apology for ridiculing the culture of Southern states.

As quoted by ANI, the Rajya Sabha member asked Congress President Rahul Gandhi to take stern action against the Punjab Minister for his Pakistan culture theory. Rao, who hails from Andhra Pradesh took a pot-shot at Gandhi and said, “We know your party loves Pakistan and your members sing its praises”.

GVL took to Twitter and said, “@INCIndia & @RahulGandhi must apologize for Sidhu's offensive comments against South Indians & sack him as a minister. Entire India cheered Sidhu as an Indian Cricketer, not as a Pak stooge! Doesn't Cong believe in Unity in Diversity? #SackMinisterSidhu”

Earlier, the cricketer turned politician at Kasauli Literature Festival had said that Pakistani culture is more comfortable than South India. 'If I go to Tamil Nadu, I don’t understand the language. Not that I don’t like the food, but I can’t take it for long. Culture is totally different. But if I travel to Pakistan there is no difficulty’ Sidhu opined.
