New Delhi, Oct 18: Lauding Supreme Court’s Sabarimala verdict, BJP’s firebrand leader Subramanian Swamy urged religious groups not to protest against those women who wish to worship Lord Ayyappa.
“The fight in Sabarimalai issue is between Hindu Renaissance and Hindu Obscurantism.” Swamy twitted. Taking a dig at religious and cultural group Swamy said that years of Communist rule in the god’s own country have influenced some Hindus who are protesting against the ruling of the top court.
The former Union Minister asked the Kerala government to ensure free access to women devotees. He advised that central forces should assist Kerala government to main the law and order in the state.
Earlier, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that stringent action will be taken against the obstructionist elements for stalling darshanam of Lord Ayyappa.
