A feature called “Crowd Sourcing” has been introduced to the People First application, a state-crafted grievance redressal and information – communication platform. The state government has urged people to share photos of the asset or location of that has been affected by Cyclone Titli. This will help to identify the administration to analyze damage caused by the Cyclone Titli.
With the help of geo-tagging and Global Positioning System, the crowdsourced photos and other information will be organized, processed and indexed on the cloud. Through this application, a user can get real-time updates about the rescue operation.
The application is available on Google play store.
According to the latest report, 18 mandals of the Srikakulam district have been affected by the cyclone. Over 12 Lac people in 872 villages have been hit by the natural disaster.
