Modi govt committed to Andhra’s development: Rajnath Singh

Guntur, Oct 17: Assuring smooth implementation of Andhra Pradesh Re-organisation Act, 2014, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said that BJP is committed to the development of Andhra Pradesh. He was addressing the meeting of party worker here.

Talking about financial assistance provided by the Modi government, the Union Minister informed that Rs 6,500 crore has been provided for the national irrigation project Polavaram. He further added that additional fund of Rs 1,500 has already been allocated for the construction of new capital Amaravati.

Reacting to the charges of non-cooperation by the Chief Minister Nara Chandra Babu Naidu, the former BJP President stated that his party never betrays the coalition partners. He asked Naidu to revisit the decision of joining hands with Congress.

Terming Congress as a sinking boat, Rajnath opined that TDP’s support will not change the fate of the grand old party. He expressed that BJP would emerge as the leading force in the coastal state.

On this occasion, state BJP Chief Kanna Lakshmi Narayana, Andhra Prabhari Sunil Deodhar, GVL Narasimha Rao and other BJP office bearers were present.
