#GandhiJayanti: Jharkhand releases 134 prisoners from Central Jail

Ranchi, October 2: State of Jharkhand celebrated Gandhi Jayanti in a very unique way by giving its prisoners an air of freedom. 129 prisoners of life imprisonment will be released today from the state's jails. There are 38 prisoners of Birsa Munda Central Jail of Ranchi. The rest 15 special prisoners will be released on October 5. Under a special quota, the prisoners will be released.

 

In the tweet of CM Raghubar Das said, “Bapu says to hate sin and not the sinful. On the Gandhi Jayanti we have released a total of 134 detainees of the state while walking on the path of nonviolence and forgiveness. They will be able to start normal life by leaving the path of violence.

 

In the last few days, 129 prisoners of the state had stampeded the Chief Minister's post on the release of the state punishment review panel, of which 38 prisoners belonged to the Central Jail. These prisoners are planning to be released on October 5. Prior to leaving all the prisoners, the Jail administration will issue an affidavit to them that after coming out of the jail and do any such work which will cause trouble to others.
