RSS invites Nobel Prize winner Kailash Satyarthi for Vijayadashmi progarmme

Nagpur, Oct 2: Renowned Child right activist and Nobel Prize winner Kailash Satyarthi will grace this year’s Vijayadashmi celebrations of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.

The 93rd edition of the annual event will be held on October 18 at Nagpur’s Reshmibagh ground. On this occasion, Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat will address RSS workers.

In 1925, on the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashmi, Dr. Hedgewar with the motive of ‘man making’ founded the world’s largest non-governmental outfit.

In March 2009, Mohan Bhagwat, a veterinary doctor by training was nominated for the post of Sarsanghchalak.

Kailash Satyarthi who hails from Madhya Pradesh’s Vidisha district is an acclaimed social activist who mainly works for the child rights. In 2014, Satyarthi was nominated for the prestigious Nobel Peace Prize.

A members of international body UNESCO, which works in the field of education, his name was also featured in leading international magazines under the category of ‘World’s Greatest Leaders’.

Bachpan Bachao Andolan is the brainchild of Satyarthi, a social platform dedicated to uplift child workers and their rehabilitation.
