India, Croatia ink pacts boosting cultural and diplomatic cooperation

New Delhi, October 22: India and Croatia on Monday signed two agreements to facilitate cultural exchange and diplomatic cooperation. Enhancing bilateral relations both the countries have pitched in for strengthening relations on grounds of strong diplomacy.

The agreements were signed and exchanged by External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and her Croatian counterpart Marija Pejcinovic Buric.

Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar tweeted, “Facilitating cultural outreach and cooperation. EAM @SushmaSwaraj and #Croatia Deputy PM & Foreign Minister Marija Pejčinović signed two agreements to facilitate cultural exchange & diplomatic cooperation.”

The two leaders discussed stepping up cooperation in political, trade and investment, health and pharmaceuticals, science and technology, tourism and culture. They also exchanged views on multilateral cooperation.

Buric, who is on a one-day visit to India, is the first Croatian foreign minister to visit the country after 17 years.
