Chennai, Oct 23: Expressing concern over the shocking #MeToo accounts, legendary AR Rahman said that industry should ensure cleaner and respectful environment for women.

Days after #MeToo controversy that took the whole nation by storm, the Oscar-winning composer in a statement opined that one should refrain from missing #MeToo movement for settling personal scores.

“we should be careful in creating a new internet justice system, in case it's misused,” Rahman noted. The award-winning music director admitted that he was taken aback by the names of victims and their alleged perpetrators.

On the other hand, AR Raihanah sister AR Rahman claimed that Tamil lyricist Vairamuthu’s behavior with women artist is an open secret. As quoted by The News Minute, Raihanah revealed that Several women had reported her about the suspicious conduct of the award-winning lyricist.

Earlier, celebrated singer and voice artist Chinmayi Sripada took to Twitter voiced against Vairamuthu’s horrifying demand.
