Vishwashanti Ahimsa Sammelan gets inaugurated: A way to achieve peace, non violence and religion

 Nasik, October 23: On Monday, World’s tallest Jain statue was visited by the President Ram Nath Kovind along with inauguration of the Vishwashanti Ahimsa Sammelan. The event is being organised by the Bhagwan Shri Rishabhdev 108 Feet Vishalkai Digambar Jain Murti Nirman Committee.
 

 

Speaking on the occasion, the President said that in the Jain tradition, the principle of ‘Ahimsa Paramodharma’ is distinguished for human welfare and compassion - not just for the absence of physical violence. The President said that Bhagwan Mahavir gave special importance to ‘Apirigraha’ - not taking what is more than essential to live. Humankind is exploiting nature indiscriminately. Ruthless consumption and accumulation of resources is increasing. Due to this, phenomena like climate change are emerging as challenges. Following the Jain tradition shows us a way out.

Prez Kovind also said that Jain Tirthankaras showed a way to get the Dharma out of worship and to bring in behavior or conduct, and explained that there is a religion to be compassionate and sensitive to human. These teachings are more relevant today than ever before in the name of religion around the world.

 

President Kovind further added that India is trailing and paranetaing the deposition of eternal period and nonviolence. In all religions, nonviolence has been highestly spaced and the path of friendship, balance and tolerant Nuta has been suggested for setting up a deposition
