Strict action against Social media offenders: Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani

 

Charing a review meeting of Vigilance and Monitoring Committee of the social justice and empowerment and tribal development departments, the Chief Minister directed all district collectors and superintendents of police to keep a close watch on social media in order to address the cases of atrocities against the weaker section.

The Chief Minister announced that strict action against will be taken against anti-social elements for disturbing social harmony using on social media. He advised police administration to focus on improving conviction rate in the state.

On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel, Ministers Ganpatsinh Vasava, Pradeepsinh Jadeja, Leader of the Opposition in Vidhan Sabha Paresh Dhanani and other officials were present.
