AIADMK leader V K Sasikala to learn Kannada

Bengaluru, Oct 25: AIADMK leader V K Sasikala who is facing a four-year jail term over her involvement in the disproportionate-assets case has decided to take lessons of Kannada.
As reported by Deccan Herald, once a close aide of late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, Sasikala will avail the facility of distance education in Kannada at Parapanna Agrahara Central Prison in Bengaluru. On 14 February 2017, the powerful lady was booked under the charges of disproportionate-assets.
The report further states that Prof Mylarappa head of Bangalore University distance education prog will assist Sasikala in pursuing the desired course.
According to Jail authorities, Sasikala who hails from Tamil Nadu was not aware of the local language but now she is quite comfortable with Kannada and expressed willingness to pursue further.
