Mumbai, Oct 26: Maharashtra Revenue Minister Chandrakant Patil on Thursday asked opposition leader to refrain from politicizing sensitive issues like drought. Addressing the press conference here, the senior BJP leader said that incumbent state government is judiciously handling the water crisis.

Lauding the timely efforts of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Patil stated that BJP government has provided relief which is three times more than 15-year rule of Congress-NCP.

Reacting to the criticism of being insensitive towards the plight of farmers,  the Minister informed that all the ministers are personally looking after the drought-hit region and each and every issue will be addressed by the concern agencies.

Taking a dig at Congress-NCP, Patil claimed that previous governments used to wait January but CM Fadnavis has already completed the procedures for announcing drought-like situation.
