Mumbai, October 27: What happens when a silent Prime Minister is busy having a candid conversation with Sonia Gandhi! Well, taking a sneak peek at the recent story shared by veteran actor Anupam Kher on Instagram, there seems no major difference between the characters in reel and real life.

 

Sharing an Instagram post from the sets of ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’ which is undoubtedly going viral on social media, we come across Anupam Kher playing Dr. Manmohan Singh and Suzanne Bernet playing Sonia Gandhi, former president of Congress party. The video also shares a glimpse of how poised and composed the reel former Prime Minister behaves infront of Sonia Gandhi. Humorously, the candid conversation seems no candid as it should have been but just a glance of the real characters.

 

Having immense knowledge and valued possession of being the incomparable finance minister, Manmohan Singh lacked the ability of being a strong orator and ultimately landed up to being termed as a puppet of Sonia Gandhi.

In another interesting video, Anupam Kher mimics Dr. Manmohan Singh as they wrap up the last sequence of the film. Have a look at it.

The veteran actor however shared a piece of thought on playing the character which he implies on to be misjudged and the journey has been one of the most beautiful learning lifetime experience. He also said that he had his reservations while doing the film but playing the role for almost one year the actor has known Manmohan Singh to the fullest. Having misjudged the man, Kher emphasizes that Dr. Singh will never be misjudged after people watch the movie.

 

The film is based on a book by Sanjaya Baru, a former media advisor to Manmohan Singh. Akshaye Khanna features as Baru, and Divya Seth Shah plays Manmohan Singh's wife Gursharan Kaur in the movie.

It is directed by debutant Vijay Ratnakar Gutte, along with Hansal Mehta as the creative producer. The script of 'The Accidental Prime Minister', produced by Bohra Bros, is written by Mayank Tewari. It is slated to release on December 21.
