Chennai, Oct 29: Superstar Rajinikanth’s highly anticipated #2Point0 trailer will be out on November 3, marking the occasion of Diwali festival. Lyca production, makers of Rajinikanth -Akshay Kumar starrer science fiction on Sunday took to Twitter and made an official announcement.

'2.0' will be a  grand visual treat for all  Rajini fans, where Thalaiva will reprise the role of Dr. Vaseegaran and Chitti, the robot. 

'2.0' will mark the return of the super-hit combo of director Shankar and Rajinikanth after the successful outing of Sivaji: The Boss and 'Enthiran'. This will be the first Tamil film of Action hero Akshay Kumar.

According to media buzz, '2.0' will be the sequel of Rajinikanth Enthiran/ Robo but on several platforms, filmmaker Shankar had denied the sequel theories.

Besides Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar, '2.0' also stars Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey, Adil Hussain, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Riyaz Khan in the pivotal role. Music is composed by Legendary AR Rehman.

Renowned production company Lyca production in association with Veteran filmmaker-producer Karan Johar’s Dharma Production has bankrolled the magnum opus. Dharma Production will present the Hindi version. '2.0' was shot in Tamil and Hindi and dubbed in Telugu.

Recently Rajinikanth has wrapped the shooting of Kartik Subbaraju’s Petta Movie and makers are planning for Pongal release.

After '2.0', Shankar will direct Ulaganayagan Kamal Hassan for the second installment of iconic movie Indian. Currently, the project is under pre-production stage.
