Security forces bust terrorist hideout in Doda district; recover huge cache of arms and ammunition in J&K

Jammu, October 3: In Jammu and Kashmir, security forces have busted a terrorist hideout in Doda district and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition.


 

These include 2 AK 47 Rifles with 335 rounds of ammunition, 4 UBGL grenades, one grenade thrower and 3 magazines. Talking to AIR this morning, State Director General of Police Dilbagh Singh said 10 Rashtriya Rifles troops came across the hideout during routine search operations.

Army troops busted a suspected militant hideout in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district on Tuesday and recovered a cache of arms, an official said. Acting on a tip-off, a search operation was conducted in Kuddhar area of Bhagwah block and recovered arms, ammunition and explosive material, a defence spokesperson said.

Recently, Security forces eliminated at least two terrorists at the forest area of Bandipora district in Jammu and Kashmir. The body of slain terrorists along with arms and ammunition were recovered from the encounter spot.

Security forces including troopers of Indian Army, CRPF and personnel of Jammu and Kashmir police launched a cordon and search operation after receiving a specific input of presence of terrorists in Sumlar forest area of the Bandipora district in Jammu and Kashmir.
