No plans to privatize profit-making firms: Union Min Nitin Gadkari

Kochi, Oct 31: Union Shipping and Surface transport Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday clarified that the central government is not going to privatize the profit-making firms. He was Speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony of India's largest Dry Dock at Cochin Shipyard.

Lauding the efforts of Cochin Shipyard in enhancing skill and training in shipbuilding, the Minister hoped that the proposed Dry Dock will multiply the economic growth of the country. Gadkari announced that various plans are being chalked out to develop Inland Waterways in the state Kerala.

On this occasion, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and other dignitaries were present. With the whopping budget of Rs. 1,799 crore, the prestigious industrial project will be completed by May 2021.
